The Fire Beam Company Reflective Beam Detectors The type of beam detectors manufactured by The Fire Beam Company are reflective type.  These devices feature a combined transmitter unit and reflective plate set.  The transmitter sends an optical beam towards the reflective plate which is reflected back to the receiver.  When the sensor detects that the beam has been obscurred by smoke it will then give an alarm condition.
